Employment Type: Contract (Long term contract w/ potential opportunity to convert)

Workplace Type: 4 days onsite, 1 day work from home (Friday)

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The POS Engineer is responsible for configuring, administering, and maintaining our Aloha system and will work closely with our NCR products support staff and POS vendor. As a member of the Restaurant DevOps team, you will be part of the last line of technical support before escalating issues with our restaurant technology to our vendor NCR. This team identifies chronic challenges and bottleneck issues within the restaurant technology production environment and is responsible for performing root cause analysis and providing resolutions for our mission critical technology applications. This includes creative problem solving, troubleshooting, documentation, and training of our core restaurant technology.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Multiple years of experience configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining POS systems in the restaurant industry. (Required)
• Experience supporting restaurant technology and business applications in a hybrid cloud environment. (Required)
• In-depth working knowledge of Aloha POS software suite. (Required)
• Knowledge and experience supporting the following Aloha modules; Aloha Takeout, Configuration Center, Aloha Kitchen, Aloha Quick Service, Connected Payments, Aloha Payment Solution. (Required)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and Agile environment. (Required)
• Strong background configuring, troubleshooting, and shooting Windows operating systems. (Required)
• Proficient with MS Office Suite such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, ect. (Required)
• Strong written and oral communication skills. (Required)
• Familiarity with NCR Backoffice. (Desired)
• Exposure to OSI Models and application architectures (Desired)
• Experience with PowerShell scripts. (Plus)
• Exposure to Splunk products. (Plus)
