Job Info

The goal in the lab is to understand the molecular and circuit mechanisms of reward-based action learning, focusing on the cortico-basal ganglia circuitry and dopamine function.

Position Description:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and independent postdoctoral fellow interested in studying the basal ganglia circuits and behavior. Research in the laboratory focuses on the molecular and circuit mechanisms of action learning and selection, using a combination of behavioral, optogenetics, slice/in vivo electrophysiology and imaging techniques. The successful candidate will employ electrophysiology and/or deep-brain imaging, together with viral tracing and optogenetics to dissect the function of specific cell types of basal ganglia circuitry in freely behaving mice.

Education:

The candidate should hold a doctoral degree with a strong background in systems or cellular neuroscience.

Experience:

Experience on slice or in vivo electrophysiological recording or calcium imaging is preferred, with computational background as a plus. Training will be provided in all areas needed for successful completion of the project.

Application Instructions:

Applicants should send curriculum vitae, statement of research interests and experience, and three references to:
