As a Precision Application ISOBUS / Task Controller Systems Engineer, you will support the design of timely, efficient and cost effective embedded electrical solutions for ISOBUS 11783, Task Controller, Virtual Terminal, Data Management, File server and peer-to-peer applications. This position is responsible to ensure the technical content meets Vehicle Platform needs and program timing adheres plans.


  • Collaborate with other teams to review and approve product and vehicle requirements
  • Create detailed systems specifications for ISOBUS, Task Controller, Universal Terminal and AEF projects.
    • Design of hardware and software architectures (specifications)
    • Coordinate Hardware and low-level software (BSP) are plus.
    • Acquire and analyze requirements provide from customers (external or internal).
  • Assist in the development of product plans.
  • Verify solutions meet requirements and assist in integration into product.
  • Ensure consistency and usability of imported and exported data files
  • Lead root cause investigation using sound engineering principles, practices and judgment pertaining to specific engineering problems.
  • Prepare and present reports on technical topics to peers and management.
  • Lead advanced development projects.
  • Position Pays 100,000 to 140,000

The qualified candidate will have:

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering with emphasis in software, agricultural, and/or electrical disciplines
  • Minimum 10 years product development experience
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in requirements definition and documentation
  • Minimum 6 years of experience working with ISOBUS/VT/UT and Task controller applications
  • Position can reside in Burr Ridge or Goodfield IL, New Holland PA, Mt Joy IA, Fargo ND, Saskatoon ON

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in product definition and development of complex systems preferably for on-road, off-road vehicle or automotive systems engineering experience
  • Prior experience:
    • Precision Farming product development
    • Vehicle networks for on-road and off-road electrical architectures, including network analysis tools like CANAlyzer, CANoe.
    • Use of Matlab for product development
    • Virtual prototyping, MIL, SIL and HIL principles
    • Understand C(++) and structured software programming
  • Demonstrated Experience as Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Demonstrated technical leadership and organization skills
