Job Title: Press Brake Operator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our team. The Press Brake Operator will be responsible for the set-up, operation, and maintenance of press brake machines to produce precision metal components according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of metal fabrication, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret technical drawings.

Responsibilities:

Machine Set-Up:

• Configure and set up press brake machines based on job specifications and product requirements.
  • Select and install appropriate tooling for each job.

Machine Operation:

• Operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal sheets and plates.
  • Monitor machine performance and adjust settings as needed to ensure accuracy.

Quality Control:

• Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet design specifications.
  • Make necessary adjustments to maintain precision and quality standards.

Material Handling:

• Load raw materials into the machine and unload finished products.
  • Safely handle and store materials to prevent damage.

Blueprint Interpretation:

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
  • Follow detailed instructions to produce accurate and high-quality components.

Maintenance:

• Perform routine maintenance on press brake machines, including cleaning and lubrication.
  • Report any mechanical issues or malfunctions for timely repairs.

Safety Compliance:

• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Efficiency Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.
  • Collaborate with team members to implement best practices.

Qualifications:

Experience:

• Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator in a metal fabrication environment.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in the set-up and operation of press brake machines.
  • Familiarity with various metals, gauges, and thicknesses.

Blueprint Reading:

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

Attention to Detail:

• High level of precision and attention to detail in all tasks.

Mechanical Aptitude:

• Basic understanding of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.

Physical Fitness:

• Ability to lift, carry, and manipulate heavy metal sheets.

Safety Awareness:

• Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
