Finance is responsible for all ZS financial matters, including financial planning, analysis, reporting, accounts receivable, general ledger and tax.

SPECIALIST

We seek a Pricing & Strategic Deals Specialist to support the Strategic Deals Group. The primary responsibility of this Specialist will be to support the team in pricing deals for professional service clients. An ideal candidate should have a general understanding of contracts. Candidates should have previous experience building user friendly excel solutions from scratch that include features like client costing, billing rates, margin analysis, etc. as well as advanced technical skills including excel VBA and Microsoft ACCESS. Someone with a combination of IT curiosity and a strong background in finance is ideal. Also, a background in professional services or management consulting is strongly preferred.

In addition, the Specialist role will support senior stakeholders and advise, aiding in commercial analysis and financial performance. Reporting to a Finance Manager, the role will help us develop future projections and apply analytical and commercial skills to help improve profitability across our business.

This role is based out of the Evanston office but is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work from home 2 days a week.

Responsibilities:

• Building an excel pricing model to leverage in our larger, more complex solutions
• Running pricing models for SDG after model is created and providing inputs on profitability levers.
• Working with technology team on ongoing enhancements of tool

• Provide financial analysis to support senior leaders of our regions, business units and corporate functions;
• Identify and resolve any financial issues related to Company operations;
• Conduct proactive analysis on our business and identify opportunities for Commercial improvement;
• Provide reporting on our financial status and outlook;
• Identify financial risks/issues and provide practical advice to help leadership address them;
• Engage effectively with colleagues at all levels within ZS;
• Increase the awareness of good financial management practices across the firm.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree in Finance or closely related field required, advanced degree welcomed;
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in financial analysis supporting internal business units or stakeholders;

• Advanced Microsoft Office experience including VBA for Access and Excel
• Expertise in building excel models / solutions from scratch
• Experience in building rate cards strongly preferred
• A general understanding of contracts, preferrably from the seller's viewpoint
• Ability to take input from multiple stakeholders and prioritize as required.
• Attention to detail and focus on accuracy
• Ability to communicate financial and technical information in a way that is easy for Business leaders to understand
• Open to feedback and frequent requests for changes to model during review process
• Being able to understand the end goal and all the intermediary steps in between
• Strong communication skills
• Experience working in professional services preferred
• Ability to work closely with senior leaders while retaining objective and professional finance perspective;
• Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills;
• Attention to detail, with results-based mindset;
• Judgment to know when to challenge something and when to lend support;
• High motivation, strong work ethic and personal initiative;
• Excellent organizational and task management skills;
• Ability to think strategically and commercially

ZS is a global consulting firm. Fluency in English is required; additional fluency in at least one European or Asian language is desirable.
