Responsible for providing Internal Medicine/Family Practice Services to patients. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Outpatient - Monday through Friday - 8 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.
  • Rotating between Jahnke Road and Brook Road Centers and others as assigned.
  • Provides medical patient care by interviewing, examining, and treating clinical patients.
  • Educates patients and families on wellness, prevention and early detection.
  • Provides referrals based on examination and patient needs.
  • Participates in quality improvement, management, continuing education, and patient care programs.
  • Assists in the resolution of complaints, requests, and inquiries from patients.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all patient information according to federal guidelines and regulations.
  • Completes medical records (EMR - Next Gen) documentation daily.
  • 1:5 Call - to include weekday nights (phone call only) - Inpatient weekend coverage (In Person)
  • Occasional coverage of SNF's, LTC patients.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Requires a MD or DO.
  • Requires current unrestricted medical licensure in Virginia and board eligibility or board certification in Internal Medicine, Geriatrics or Family Medicine.
  • DEA license required.
  • For CareMore business units, satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position.

Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience in Valued Based Care.
  • Spanish Speaking Preferred but not required.

Referral Bonus: $5,000
