Slalom is looking for a Principal to join its data engineering team. This leadership role has responsibilities split between engagement delivery, business development, and people management.

What You'll Do

  • Act as a senior client advisor in advanced analytics and data engineering as a subject matter exporter through delivery excellence
  • Lead development and execution of highly complex data platforms that support advanced analytics applications
  • Gather technical and business requirements, design architecture, and technical solution approaches
  • Create practice collateral, including go-to-market offerings, marketing materials, and thought leadership
  • Manage highly complex analytical projects from data discovery to data platform builds, to model building, performance evaluation, and testing
  • Partner with account teams to qualify sales opportunities, write proposals and statements of work
What You'll Bring
  • BA/BS degree in computer science, mathematics, or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
  • Prior consulting experience - working closely with clients to shape and sell work
  • Experience in technical pre-sales, managing teams - putting people first, and managing business operations
  • Knowledge and understanding of data platforms, EDWs, data lakes, and experience designing modern data architecture to support business use cases
  • Varied technical expertise in a variety of areas such as Python, SQL, AWS, GCP, Snowflake, RDBMS, Kakfa, BI reporting tools, and Data Science toolkits
