Our Business Line, Huco, has the following position available. The information below discusses Huco's operations in general, as well as detailed information about this opportunity.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

Our Principal/Senior Consultant Manager - EHS/ESG SME position is fully-remote. (Internally-facing title: Principal IT Data Management Analyst)

We provide quality work, respond quickly and work effectively with supportive teams. Huco focuses solely on the strategy, selection, setup, and support of leading ESG/EHS information management systems to help our customers manage compliance, risk, and return value. This includes air emissions, greenhouse gas, sustainability (ESG), permit tracking, incident management, inspections, audits, observations, occupational health, control of work, etc.

We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic leaders (and ideally seller-doers) with the ability to work from home full-time and with remote colleagues and clients on system planning, setup, and support projects. You will plan and design projects with clients and senior consultants at Huco, and you will establish frameworks for you and team members to execute against. With a project manager, you will be responsible for completing projects according to purpose, plan, schedule, and budget.

The job involves applying strong project delivery skills with subject matter expertise in commercial off-the-shelf systems and EHS & ESG. You will be responsible for the technical leadership, architecture/design, review, and hands-on execution of EHS&S IT projects, which includes:

  • Gathering and understanding client objectives/business requirements,
  • Developing effective plans and designs leveraging existing best practices and industry standards,
  • Leading implementation and testing solutions hands on by example, and
  • Ensuring long-term success with on-going support, training, upgrades, solution expansion, content, reports, integrations, and work processes. A successful candidate will appreciate the ability to work from home including flexibility, while being able to pro-actively move forward on work without delay. They will also be confident to openly communicate to their teammates, coaches and even ownership to ensure engagement and progression (a two-way street). You will be assigned a coach that works with you regularly in addition to the work you do day-to-day with consultants and project managers.

This position can be either part-time hourly or full-time salary (between 30 to 40 hours per week can be accommodated). Typical work hours at Huco are between 9am - 5pm during weekdays.

As a key member of the Huco business line, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
  • Manage various EHS&S information management software applications and associated content (compliance tasks, operating data, audit/inspection checklists, ESG frameworks, etc.) .
  • Architect and lead systems/reports that require reliable math and logic skills that will be applied to emissions calculations, validation, and analysis.
  • Facilitate gathering of business requirements and translating them into easy-to-understand specifications used to setup COTS (commercial off the shelf software). This includes helping clients build an Inventory Management Plans (air emissions and more) after helping define a vision, boundaries, materiality, and data availability.
  • Evaluate AS-IS processes, identify areas for improvement, develop TO-BE requirements and document gaps.
  • Think critically about operational efficiency and identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Translate business requirements to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Create and/or review design specifications, test scripts and training guides.
  • Create project plans and define action items.
  • Recognize and escalate conflicts between client, staff, and software vendors - and within scopes of work.
  • Streamline technical delivery of routine MoC and QA/QC activities.
  • Lead execution of technical tasks by creating plans and estimates that others can execute
  • Develop and enhance standard processes for routine support activities
  • Develop staff's mastery of processes and technical knowledge (EHS and other applications)
  • For the right candidate, support business development and sales activities (we are looking for leaders that can do above, but also seller-doers responsible for revenue generation and delivery that have experience in our space).
YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
  • 5-10 years of work experience managing environmental, heath, safety, and/or sustainability projects, and a strong comfort level and/or interest in how technology can effectively deliver results.
  • Experience managing multiple clients and projects simultaneously of varying size, i.e., $500,000.
  • Confident leader with proven successes leading projects and managing clients.
  • Ability to work independently (self-driven) within deadlines and budgets.
  • Able to pro-actively communicate clearly and succinctly through written and verbal form.
  • Skilled with a variety of tools (e.g., MS Excel/Word, PowerPoint, Access, SQL, Crystal Reports, SQL, Oracle and ideally Sphera opsInfo, Enablon AQS, Cority Enviance, Intelex ACTS or similar applications with strong environmental calculation capability).
