YOUR ROLE

  • As a Product Development Chemist, you will be part of a highly motivated and cross-functional team that develops adhesives for the building construction and furniture applications
  • Synthesize polyurethane adhesives - hotmelt and liquid - and perform standard laboratory tests to characterize their performance
  • Utilize processing equipment to evaluate adhesive processability and prepare assemblies to test bond quality
  • Tabulate, plot, and interpret data to determine trends and recommend future experiments
  • Plan and organize laboratory projects, maintain meticulous records using digital tools, and present results and status to stakeholders
  • Engage with colleagues in manufacturing to scale-up products developed in the lab and sustain existing products
  • Assure all work is carried out in a safe manner, and products and processes comply with all regulatory requirements

YOUR SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or other relevant discipline is required
  • Prior 1-3 years of relevant, lab experience in an academic, internship or industrial setting is required
  • Prior knowledge of adhesive technology and formulating is a benefit, but not required
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong teamwork skills and proven ability to collaborate with others
