About This Job

The main purpose of this job is to partner with internal and external stakeholders to develop and deliver a market competitive product strategy and solution set which meets or exceeds our customer's requirements.

Leveraging knowledge of merchant services, including market needs, the Merchant Services Product Manager will be responsible for partnering with internal and external stakeholders to develop and deliver a market competitive product strategy and solution set which meets or exceeds our customer's requirements.

Essential Functions

  • Interact with customers, prospects and the sales team, identify customer needs and opportunities to solve market problems
  • Collaborate with the commercial payments line of business to refine the product definition, strategy and long-term vision
  • Build and present applicable business cases as new product opportunities are identified
  • Lead product launch/rollout activities for new product opportunities
  • Partner with marketing, sales, product and technology to develop and execute go-to-market strategies
  • With limited management oversight, lead pricing and product strategy discussions with product partners
  • Actively engage with industry groups and associations as applicable
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
  • Strong knowledge of merchant acquiring business and market needs
  • Expert product instincts and an ability to balance customer and business impact
  • Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
  • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience with background in product management, payments, strategy or planning required
  • Demonstrated product delivery experience commercializing new opportunities from concept to reality required
  • Experience partnering with FinTechs delivering solutions to market preferred
  • Product Management Training / Certification (Pragmatic Marketing, PDMA, etc) preferred
