Production Engineer - Office Location: Houston Texas - Schedule: 5/2 Mon-Fri with some field visits
Minimum Requirements: 5-15 years experience, Five (5) years Eagle Ford recent experience, Well-versed in lift systems and pre-production well design, Required: Experience with Spotfire, Bachelor's Degree.
Summary: Under limited supervision, oversee and monitor daily oil and gas production operations, including completions and production enhancement projects to ensure maximum productivity and profitability. Could be assigned to an Asset Team, Function Area, or Production Operations. Continuously improve programs, processes, and relationships.
Essential Functions
Health, Safety & Environment

  • Operates safely and responsibly in compliance with all environmental, health, and safety guidelines
  • Report all incidents (health, safety, or environmental) to supervisor and/or HSE Director in a timely fashion per policy or standards
Engineering Duties:
  • Monitor and review producing well performance to optimize oil and gas production and troubleshoot problem wells
  • Utilize advanced project management skills to design and implement new well completions, recompletions, artificial lift, production facilities, etc. as required
  • Monitor equipment performance for efficiency, maintenance, repair, or change
  • Prepare AFE and economic justifications for capital and expense projects, and work together with field supervisor to ensure proper implementation.
  • Coordinate with Operations personnel on-field operations as necessary
  • Monitor and control Capital and LOE spending to maximize profit and loss potential
  • Review and approve vendor invoices for goods and services
  • Help ensure regulatory compliance and represent the company at the regulatory hearing or industry meetings
  • Assist other company departments by providing engineering expertise for various special projects such as field studies, acquisitions, joint ventures, specialized reporting, forecasting, etc.
  • Provide engineering support to field personnel as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Position Requirements
Education / Experience / Training: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. Experience in a related engineering discipline.
Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Performs engineering assignments that require problem identification and the development of best solutions.
  • Assignments are broad in nature, requiring originality and ingenuity.
  • Operates with some latitude in making autonomous decisions.
  • Reviews progress with leadership.
  • Plans and conducts research, designs, develops and executes phases of a larger project or a total project of moderate complexity.
  • Maybe the lead engineer on challenging projects with some functional supervision.
  • Under general supervision, plans, conducts, and provides leadership on assignments.
  • Reviews progress and evaluate results.
  • Plans and identifies resources for given projects or tasks.
  • Recommends changes in procedures.
  • Assignments are broad in nature, requiring originality and ingenuity.
  • Operates with some latitude in making autonomous decisions.
  • Reviews progress with leadership. Handles other duties as assigned.
Skills / Knowledge /Abilities :
  • Sound working knowledge of principles, concepts, theories, and/or practices of the applicable discipline.
  • Intermediate analytical skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Intermediate-level analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Skilled in the use of required systems and software applications.
  • Understanding of budget process and risk analysis.
