Due to amazing growth in our Augusta Plant and nationally, we are seeking a PRODUCTION OPERATOR (Night shift, 12 hrs. 7pm-7a shift) to bring their talents to our expanding team. Must have ability to work across shifts and be flexible. Outstanding benefits and overtime potential.

Primary Function:

Performs a variety of duties in the production of dough and / or coatings in batch processing of manufactured baked goods including troubleshooting and minor equipment maintenance of high speed packaging equipment. Responsible for day to day plant activities, working in a team environment that promotes safety, food safety, quality, clear communication, leadership, creativity and overall, continuous improvement for both the individual and the Company. The plant is a 24/7 operation.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Must hold safety and food safety at the highest standard.
  • Sets up, operators, changes over, monitors, and adjusts mixing, baking and packaging equipment.
  • Determines proper product quality, via the following:
  • Appearance
  • Texture
  • Weight
  • Temperature
  • Weighs and combines ingredients complying with formulas, including ingredient quantities
  • Adjusts product formulas and production settings within established baseline
  • Supplies, loads and unloads machines
  • Makes adjustments to the work area and performs minor preventive maintenance to ensure area is in the working condition to reach peak performance levels.
  • Assists in the development and execution of equipment reliability checklists for total equipment care.
  • Understands technical language to operate highly automated equipment that includes but is not limited to touch screens, electronic sensors, controllers, actuators, photo eyes, and motors
  • May work in excessive heat ranging by season.
  • Makes equipment changes, adjustments and minor repairs as necessary. Monitors and adjusts equipment including belts, chains, and packaging conveyor systems
  • Checks quality of food, packages and code dates. Adjusts and communicates as required.
  • May assist with material handling, storage and shipment.
  • Assists mechanics with troubleshooting issues and repairing equipment on breakdowns.
  • Documents accurate machine operation information, production and shipping records, control charts and other required data including the use of visual boards.
  • Maintains equipment sanitation and work area housekeeping.
  • Maintains good manufacturing practices with special emphasis in areas of safety, food safety, housekeeping, quality and sanitation of equipment and the surrounding work area.
  • Participates in problem solving at workplace meetings, task forces, safety committee meetings, Kaizen events, etc.
  • Monitors metal detector CCP in accordance with HACCP and SQF programs.
  • May be required to work overtime as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned including training others.


Qualifications Preferred:
  • A high school diploma or GED required; preferred college/technical education in automated controls.
  • Two years of production experience strongly preferred
  • Highly motivated self-starter, creative, display integrity, outstanding interpersonal skills and a team player.
