Purpose Statement
The goal of this candidate is to independently coordinate and expedite daily work and material flow for our manufacturing facility in conjunction with logistics, engineering, programming, and Customer service for custom made engineered components and assemblies as well as act as the back-up person for the Head Planner.

Job responsibilities and tasks
1. Enters manufacturing work orders.
2. Answers questions about order status for Sales/Customer Service.
3. Provides production lead time quotes when needed by Sales/Customer Service.
4. Manages production schedule daily to meet customer delivery targets.
5. Works with manufacturing, Capital sales, Aftermarket sales, engineering, logistics, and programming departments to adjust schedule and address resource needs on a timely basis in order to meet schedule demands.
6. Maintains material masters.
7. Develops and implements process improvements as identified.
8. Coordinates with purchasing department for parts needs and any expediting requirements based on delivery dates of manufacturing.
9. Performs other duties such as inventory analysis, cycle count administration, and long-range scheduling as needed.
10. Back up for Manager of Planning & Scheduling department.
11. Other duties as needed.
12. Create, Update, and Modify BOMs and Routings
13. Understand manufacturing drawings
14. Mechanical knowledge preferred

Education, professional experience and qualification preferred/required
• High School diploma required
• BS/BA degree in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
• SAP experience preferred
• Computer systems knowledge; Outlook, Excel, Power Point preferred.
• Ability to interact and understand various other skills sets from engineering, purchasing, programming, logistics, production.
• Strong interpersonal/communication skills are required. Including the ability to be flexible while handling a wide variety of activities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines.

Physical and Mental Qualifications
Must be able to sit /stand long periods of time. Able to physically maneuver around large complex machinery and in tight areas with same equipment. Able to lift, bend, squat, kneel, climb/descend multiple steps, work in Hot & Cold climates, dusty, greasy dirty, noisy environments. Able to carry up to 40 lbs. for short distances, see fine details in print and computer settings, read and understand manufacturing drawings.
