Description

Artera Services is a $3B+ (revenue) domestic utilities construction company comprised of multiple business units and nearly 11,000 employees. Artera specializes in the maintenance and repair of natural gas transmission lines.

The Productivity Analyst will support the HQ FP&A team. Candidate will work with Senior FP&A manager and senior leadership to provide an analysis of cost/expense issues in current business results and provide recommendations for profit improvement. Candidates in this position should be comfortable working with deadlines and have strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly cost reports and support monthly reviews with business owners
  • Analyze cost results against plan and historical to identify pressure or opportunity in financial results
  • Prepare headquarters cost analysis and support monthly reviews with the functional vice presidents
  • Work closely with the procurement team to track execution and quantify companywide savings initiatives
  • Work with data strategy team to automate and transform cost data
  • Evaluate and quantify the monthly impact of inflation and other economic factors affecting our business results
  • Performs complex research by gathering data from a variety of sources, which may include operational data, metrics, competitor information, and feedback from business partners.
  • Conducts analyses based on operational, economic and/or financial data in order to quantify the competitive performance of business segments, evaluate potential operational changes, and/or design new approaches and methodologies.
  • Develops, modifies, and distributes standard and ad hoc reports/dashboards to better understand the overall business and/or unit.
  • Develops presentations and shares findings as well as recommendations.
  • Displays strong research, problem solving, analytical, critical thinking, influencing, relationship management, and presentation skills
Preferred skills:
  • Enjoys a collaborative in-person work environment, work from home flexibility to be coordinated with broader team and manager
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Has experience working with large, complex data sets in large organizations
  • Has strong excel modelling skills
  • An understanding both the front-end report design in Power BI and basic understanding of database management is a plus
  • Knowledge of Oracle EPM and smartview experience a plus
  • Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects combined with strong follow through skills
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of FP&A, productivity, or business analysis experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field - Finance, accounting, business administration
