We are seeking a Program Aide to join our team at our program in Northeast Philadelphia, Pa

The duties of the Program Aide involve escorting individuals with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities (IDD) to and from scheduled program classes, documents the individual's daily attendance, provide assistance with activities of daily living, such as toileting, eating and other personal hygiene needs; ensures the safety of the individual is maintained at all times by maintaining a safe environment; implement individual goal plans, alternate and/or back-up activities, and progress in the program areas, provides guidance in social, recreational, educational and therapeutic activities, keeps storage areas and work areas clean and properly arranged; assists with individual discipline and promotes a positive self-image. Copes with day-to-day problems and feelings of the individuals and reports observations on individual behavior. request supplies as needed, assists with documentation responsibilities, assists in organizing and conducting special events and off campus trips, implements and documents Behavior Management Programs of individuals in program area and works cooperatively with all personnel involved in programs of the individuals in our care. Attends in-service training as required. Direction is provided by the Program Instructor in assigned area. Work performance will be directed by the Program Director and Program Coordinator.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be at least 18 years old

• Must have a verifiable High School diploma/G.E.D.

• Related experience is helpful

• A valid driver's license is required
