The Trinity/La MaMa Performing Arts Program in New York City, a study away program for liberal arts students from across the country, seeks a Program Coordinator to work closely with the Program Director in a two person team on the planning and execution of all aspects of the program.

The Coordinator fulfills administrative duties and is in charge of social media presence and promotion for the program. They provide curricular support, such as organizing student events, booking tickets and classes, attending performances with students, and leading discussions. They are responsible for technical support, including stage managing the student performances. The Coordinator collaborates with the Director on outreach efforts to other institutions, the recruitment of students, and oversees alumni communications.

Qualifications:

  • BA in the performing arts a plus
  • Experience in arts administration
  • Overarching knowledge of the interdisciplinary performing arts scene in New York and familiarity with the city
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects under pressure
  • A positive attitude and great interpersonal skills
  • Clear communication skills and ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and supportive manner.
  • Must be comfortable working in a small team and interacting with college age students
  • Excellent writing abilities and proficiency in computer programs, including Microsoft Excel, Adobe Photoshop, and film editing software
  • Expertise in all social media platforms
  • Experience with stage management and stage tech
