Job Summary

The Programming Supervisor manages the delivery, development, and implementation of software solution for internal and external clients. This function includes resource management, delivery management, and service oversight of software projects installed on customer sites. The Programming Supervisor will be responsible for supervising technical employees to ensure software solutions are met for internal and external customers. This individual must have excellent multi-tasking and organization skills. Some travel maybe required in support of the job requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Must have excellent customer management skills and ability to interact seamlessly with Sales and Technical staff.
  • Presents Programming capabilities to clients.
  • Participates and helps author Statements of Work (SOW) and may responds to Request for Proposal (RFP) if required.
  • Works with internal leadership to drive best practices, standards and methodology across the organization.
  • Demonstrate positive leadership to teammates and represents oneself as a positive stakeholder in all situations.
  • Maintain close relationships with AVI-SPL business units, external vendors, and customers to ensure the team is up to date with current technologies and products.

  • Responsible for personnel management and managing adequate staffing levels.

  • Investigates and resolved complaints received regarding services performed.
  • Setup, maintain and update quality assurance procedures used by department.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Communication
  • Must have clear and professional communication skills (written and oral) both internally and externally
  • Demonstrated customer service focus and client communication skills.
  • Ensures Change Management processes are followed.
Technical / Critical Thinking / Problem Solving
  • Excellent strategic thinking and structured problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business / professional documentation, technical procedures and standards.
  • Responsible for maintaining client overall satisfaction and ensure contract project goals are accomplished.
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks with changing priorities.
  • Ability to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficient in software IDE's to be able to conduct code reviews and ensure the programming deliverables of others are met.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Microsoft Project and Adobe Acrobat.

Education and/or Experience

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A four-year degree and/or minimum 3 - 5 years' experience with software in similar or related field (Construction, Audiovisual, Telecommunications) preferred.
  • Experience in a global and/or complex matrix business environment is desirable.
  • Experience developing and implementing business processes and streamlining operations.
  • Experience with Crestron, AMX, Extron or other AV programming is desirable.
  • Experience with object orientated programming languages is desirable.
