Hendrickson is searching for a Project Engineer to join their engineering team in Dayton, OH. This individual will be responsible for leading and managing composite spring programs.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Act as single point of contact for key customer accounts to coordinate composite leaf spring project requirements and ensure successful production launch.
• Lead and manage spring programs from initial quote through production launch.
• Responsible for communicating with all functional areas including production, sales, marketing, manufacturing engineering and purchasing regarding project goals, issues and accomplishments.
• Develop detailed project timing charts and show compliance to plan.
• Designs, validates, provides test reports and sign-off documents, and ensures production readiness for spring products.
• Coordinates with CAD, FEA and laboratory personnel and interfaces with other departments in support of the above.
• Coordinates the technical design and test aspects on projects with suppliers and customers.
• Provides continuous improvement through employee development, process improvement and elimination of waste. Helps to assure safety in the lab and office.

Interested in being considered? The successful candidate will possess:

• Bachelor of Science degree in technical discipline required. Mechanical, Metallurgical or Agricultural Engineering background preferred.

• 3-5 years' experience in vehicle structural design (preferable heavy or medium duty truck) with exposure to dynamic structural analysis, finite element analysis, fatigue analysis, and product design.
• Demonstrated product innovation.
• Leaf spring manufacturing/design experience a plus.
• TeamCenter and Unigraphics experience a plus.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products.
