Summary:

We are seeking a Project Lead, Business Performance Improvement to join our team in Raleigh. This role will partner with strategic finance and accounting, corporate functions, and operating divisions to lead and support a variety of projects. Contributions include using quantitative analysis to inform priorities, constructing and delivering executive presentations, coordination and leadership of projects, developing and documenting business processes, providing ad-hoc analysis, and supporting efforts to build and maintain processes, systems, and data.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and/or support multiple projects that have a high degree of scope and complexity, primarily focused on finance and accounting functions
  • Work with teams to define project charters, develop timelines / plans, monitor budget(s), lead risk identification / management and orchestrate project communications / change management
  • Establish and manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders, leading cross-functional project teams through influence and serve as a key partner with project sponsors
  • Through quantitative analysis, KPI development, and insights generation, inform improvement priorities which maximize value creation for the Company
  • Identify process or internal / external customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and / or variations from established policy that would drive step-change advancements for The Company
  • Use understanding of system design, interdependencies and data flow to resolve problems and troubleshoot issues. Work with technical resources to design, develop, test and implement solutions.
  • Ensure process integrity, test system changes, establish controls, define reports and analyze data flows for process improvement opportunities
  • Develop analyses and presentations that inform and influence key decisions for The Company
  • Lead and / or support other strategic initiatives and projects as-assigned
  • Provide mentorship and coaching as it pertains to continuous improvement opportunities throughout the organization
  • Perform all activities in accordance with the Company's Mission, Vision and Values, and in compliance with the Company's policies, procedures and Code of Ethical Business Conduct
Qualifications and skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, finance, accounting, business administration or related field required
  • MBA or Master's Degree in a finance related field preferred
  • 7+ years of professional, cross-functional experience, including experience managing large scale, cross-functional projects; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Functional knowledge of finance and accounting practices; prior experience owning and/or leading finance and accounting functions preferred
  • 5+ years of continuous improvement experience required; Lean and/or Six Sigma certification preferred
  • Excellent executive presentation skills required; ability to build and deliver effective presentations to executive audiences
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including written and oral communications
  • Self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a dynamic environment, multi-task and support multiple projects
  • Highly skilled in use of Microsoft Power Point, Excel, and other productivity tools
  • Experience with Oracle JD Edwards or equivalent enterprise resource planning system preferred
  • Up to 15% domestic travel anticipated
