GDH Consulting is looking for a Project Manager to work remotely.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, Plan, and Delivery projects using project management methodologies across the entire lifecycle, from kick-off call to requirements gathering, to planning and project delivery, through project closure
- Requirements Gathering
- Work w/Engineers & customer to document project requirements
- Define and collect technical data points required for Project success
- Cost Estimation and Project Planning
- Develop a Project Plan to define level of effort, dependencies to complete project efforts
- Work with Engineers to establish critical path
- Document Project Assumptions, Issues and Risk
- Assist in creation of quote to be provided as a cost estimate to Customer
- Implementation Support
- Lead/Support implementation cutovers
- Define and follow escalation plans
- Document issues and lessons to be learned
- Communicate project status as required and provide bi-weekly status report for all projects
- Work to coordinate multiple teams to delivery successful project changes
- Work weekends and off hours for implementations
- Project Financials Setup, Tracking, and Closure
- Establishing initial Project Budgets
- Perform Cost Forecasting
- Perform Risk Management - Calling out risk to the client and discussing mitigation
- Track Financial Health of Project
- Follow Client Business Policy throughout lifecycle to project closure
- Deliver Projects in accordance with ISO 9000 Policy
Required Experience & Skill Set
- Minimum 2 years' experience working with Large Enterprise Network customers to implement Data Networking Technology Infrastructure Projects
- Strong MS Excel Skills: Simple math, Formulas, pivot tables, V Lookups, etc.
- 1-2 years' experience using MS Project to setup and deliver projects
- Must be able to drive requirements and scope definition and drive task delivery
- Exposure to PMI Waterfall project management methodology
Preferred Experience & Skill Set
- Certifications: PMP (or Prince), Scrum Master, ITIL, MCSE (in order of preference)
- 5-8 years' experience working with Infrastructure Projects
- BOA Remedy system for Change Management. Create/Submit/Manage CRQ experience
- JIRA/Kanban/Confluence
Non-standard working hours are required (nights and weekend included)
