Job Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for the delivery of software development projects through agile based scrum teams, through the organization and assignment of all work for execution by the project teams, including change requests.

They will work closely with the system developers, functional users, business analysts and quality assurance experts to understand the technical and functional design of the software applications. They will maintain familiarity with the roles, skills, and capabilities of all members of the team.

They will actively engage with the agile scrum teams in the configuration, development and execution of system and end-to-end testing for client systems, including identifying bottlenecks and driving improvements while maintaining a positive team environment with peers and management.

Equally important, this role requires a genuine, innate desire to solve problems and provide customers with positive experiences. The Project Manager has a direct impact our clients, their experience and impression of the AxiaTP brand, and our overall growth.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Develop project plans and proposals which define the project scope in collaboration with Client/Internal Stakeholder
  • Plan, track, and report on project performance to the Client/Internal Stakeholder on a periodic basis, determined by the Client/Internal Stakeholder or project needs. Including status on project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues
  • Collaboratively manage workload of team members across projects to ensure proper project coverage to meet expected timelines
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings with Client/Internal Stakeholder and engage/include other team members where necessary for ongoing effective communication
  • Organize and manage the collection of current and planned customer projects as a portfolio, regularly communicating with customers and the team to prioritize each
  • Represent the Client's environment, strategy, and priorities to internal management
  • Ask for guidance when necessary and confirms understanding of problems and/or next steps
  • Attain a high level of tool familiarity for the tools required for role, to be seen as a resource for others needing to learn or get information from those systems
  • Maintain resource forecasting, planning, and work assignment allocations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer and internal stakeholders regarding projects and the scheduling of change requests, including scope, timelines, and changes.
  • Project planning, identifying estimates and minimize risks
  • Ensure proper recording, documentation, and closure for all work performed
  • Actively maintain and grow your knowledge of products and services
  • Recommend procedure modifications or improvements to help make AxiaTP more effective for customers and more efficient as a service provider

Qualifications:
  • The ideal candidate should have an enthusiasm for team collaboration a passion for using technology to solve problems and fulfill business outcomes

  • Must have a broad familiarity with computer hardware and software and demonstrate a consistent investment in that knowledge
  • Confident in making decisions, accurate, detailed-oriented and able to problem solve/analyze
  • Commitment to quality and attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively deliver and communicate individual work in a highly collaborative and matrixed environment
  • Excellent communication skills to include internal/external interaction, and documentation (samples of nonproprietary documentation maybe be asked for review)
  • Experience working in SDLC/Agile environments, managing projects to deliver software solutions, and working as a project manager
  • Proven ability to proactively self-manage and complete project deliverables, with a sense of ownership
  • Willingness to learn new functions and technologies

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of significant experience in software implementation.
    • Strong consideration will be given to candidates with a background in third party development or consulting.
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from an accredited college/university
    • Strong consideration will be given to candidates with a background and/or experience in computer science, finance, accounting, information technology, or business administration
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certified or must achieve certification within 1 year of employment
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certified or must achieve certification within 1 year of employment
  • Certified Product Owner (CPO) certified or must achieve certification within 1 year of employment
