Essential Functions

  • Project Execution. Deliver critical NCNU projects with focused discipline and planning, on time, on budget to meet business goals.
  • Plan, schedule, manage and coordinate all aspects of the project life cycle; analysis, plan, build, test, implement, and training.
  • Facilitate project team, communicate early and often. Work with project team to mitigate project risks and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.
  • Has authority to prioritize project tasks based on capacity, due dates & critical path.
  • Effectively identify and resolve any issues throughout project life cycle.
  • Promotes, utilizes, and contributes to knowledge transfer discussions before, during and after project completion.
  • Provide consistent and comprehensive status updates; reporting schedule, cost, scope, work load, and project team performance."
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration. Drive collaboration across functional group within the project. Educate team members on project processes.
  • Methodology and Improvement. Execute projects using standard NCNU methodology for defining, tracking, communicating and delivering measurable business benefits. Improve methodology and tools over time.
  • Support Strategic Alignment. Work with PMO managers and business partners to define business cases, benefits, options, and recommendations.

  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Identifies and analyzes problems, recommends solutions. Distinguishes between relevant and irrelevant information to make logical decisions. Required
  • Displays confidence with recommendations. Ability to energize and lead team thru obstacles and to completion of deliverables and project. Preferred
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with audiences of all levels. Required
  • Ability to identify potential people-side risks and anticipated points of resistance, and develop specific plans to mitigate or address concerns Preferred
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. Required
  • Adaptable self-starter who is skilled at creating structure in ambiguous environments Required
  • Solid presentation skills. Preferred
  • Strong logical and analytical problem-solving skills; ability to recommend solutions. Required
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office applications. Required
  • Experience with change management strategy based on situational awareness of changes and the groups impacted. Preferred


High School Diploma and 5 years of directly related experience

Bachelor's degree in related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment

Works in an office environment sitting at a desk, table or computer workstation for extended periods of time. May travel by car, plane or other form of transportation to attend business meetings or conferences. Approximately 50-80 percent of the time spent on the job involves the use of a personal computer.
