Job Summary:

It is the mission of the Bay Cove Treatment Center (BCTC) to help individuals with opioid use disorder (OUD) to achieve a recovering lifestyle. This mission is accomplished through the use of medication for OUD (either through the modality of detoxification or maintenance) and by outpatient individual and group counseling (on site and via telehealth platforms), drug screening, and added services including case management, recovery support, HIV/AIDS treatment, and family/couples counseling as needed. Working under the leadership of the Treatment Center Program Director, The Project Manager provides oversight of the Treatment Center's SOR (State Opioid Response) grant initiative. This role is responsible to provide direction to Recovery Support Navigators and Recovery Coaches. The Project Manager collaborates with key grant partners from the community, including state and community-based service providers, to ensure ongoing partnerships and administration of the project. The role is also responsible for the development and implementation of project policies, procedures, work flows, and reporting as required by the grant's mission and goals. This is an exempt position.

Essential Functions of Position:

  • Establish and maintain partnerships with the Department of Public Health, Suffolk County Sheriff's Department (SCSD), hospital systems, community-based substance use disorder and social service providers.
  • Develop and maintain project policies and procedures per the grant requirements and mission of the Treatment Center
  • Coordinate and oversee project activities, including participation in Recovery Panels at the SCSD for program outreach and recruitment
  • Collaborate with the BCTC clinical and medical team to facilitate and ensure ongoing services and support
  • Ensure the continuous delivery of services, including client outreach, assessment, treatment planning, care coordination, referral, and recovery support
  • Monitor client participation to ensure consistency of service agreements
  • Oversee the project's clinical services and clinical documentation, ensuring timely and accurate recordkeeping of service delivery
  • Ensure continuous data collection of project activities and service delivery, including reporting of the grant's required Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA) data
  • Supervise project staff, including Recovery Navigators, and (as assigned) student interns and coordinate staff hiring, retention, scheduling, and transition
  • Facilitate staff training, professional development, and ensure timely performance evaluation for staff
  • Participate and represent the BCTC as the grant Liaison in grant meetings with the funder (DPH) and other related forum
  • Provide overall administrative oversight for the project, keeping records of expenses and other administrative documentation
  • Assist in the development and preparation of grant proposals, reports, to improve and expand on existing services
  • Manage the quarterly review of client charts and other related project monitoring activities for quality assurance
  • May perform other duties as assigned by the BCTC Program Director
Requirements for the position:
  • Master's degree in human services field
  • Minimum two years' experience in substance use or mental health treatment
  • Licensure (LICSW, LCSW, LMHC, LADC-1) in substance use treatment or mental health preferred
  • Strong knowledge of the substance use disorder continuum of services and related community resources
  • Demonstrated strong documentation and communication skills

  • Ability to work with individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders in a respectful, compassionate and supportive manner
  • Must be able to work within a management and treatment team as well as independently
  • Ability to think creatively/brainstorm

  • Demonstrated organizational skills
  • Ability to function under pressure in a fast-paced human services environment
  • Ability to negotiation and resolve differences
  • Ability to be flexible, open and responsive to ongoing industry changes
  • Ability to articulate and communicate Bay Cove's mission and strategic direction in a consistent and enthusiastic manner to departmental staff
