We have a unique opportunity for the right experienced Project Specialist (Logistics Optimization & Analytics) to join our Business Transformation office at our core lab in San Diego, CA. This is a key role within the West Division that will drive transformational strategic projects in our logistics function to improve productivity and customer service levels. Working collaboratively with logistics leads and supervisors, you will lead strategic assessments, productivity improvement projects and logistics networks optimization.
The role requires a core strategic and operations skillset, geared towards innovate thinking, complemented by strong logistics experience and confident in managing complex cross functional projects. In this position, you will work in a fast paced, customer focused, and challenging environment, and will be a part of our overall mission at LabCorp: "Improving Health, Improving Lives" as we combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Project Specialist:
- Performs research and evaluation of complex projects and assignments requiring advanced knowledge of route management software, analytics and Excel data modeling.
- Requires experience to identify and measure process methodologies, financial implications, through route optimizations and through Excel report development.
- Makes recommendations to management and may initiate implementation of new protocols, methodologies, equipment, and processes.
- Perform route optimizations to create efficiencies within logistics
- Evaluate current route structures to identify potential cost savings
- Ensure all current routes are structured to provide market leading service
- Perform Excel reporting and development to identify areas of opportunity
- Analyze data and make recommendations to leadership in order to improve service & efficiency
- Assist with the implementation of new protocols, methodologies, equipment, and processes
- Problem solve and provide potential resolutions for any specimen related issues
- Utilize multiple databases to process requests and inquiries
- Prioritize requests based on information gathered
- Assist with dispatch duties when necessary
