Accountabilities:

  • Review, analyze and synthesize donor data as it relates to fundraising priorities.
  • Identify philanthropic patterns, tendencies and relationships among constituents.
  • Using wealth and data analytic screenings, validate/qualify those with the potential for fundraising portfolio inclusion.
  • Participates in the maintenance of donor prospect lists and tracking systems.
  • Analyzes researched and in-house prospect data and prepares reports related to prospective and current donors.
  • Assist with the validation of wealth screening assets using paid and free sources, while maintaining high standards around confidentiality.
  • Actively monitors news publications through our alerts processes, tying donor developments and trends back to work being done by the University.
  • Work closely with the Associate Director, Prospect Analytics & Reporting to produce campaign gift reports, dashboards, action reports, prospect reports, and various lists as requested.
  • Assists in the creation of report materials for senior Advancement leadership.

Professional Experience/ Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of fundraising experience
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft products, including Excel
  • Proficient with Customer Relationship Management databases
  • Demonstrated research, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
  • Must be able to work collegially and effectively with a diverse group of alumni, students, faculty, and staff on a daily basis
Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years experience in higher education fundraising
  • Experience with development databases and donor information services such as Raiser's Edge/NXT, Foundation Directory, iWave, LexisNexis, Wealth-X, RelSci and other online prospect research tools preferred
Education:

A Bachelor's degree is required
