Merakey Harrisburg is currently seeking a full-time, 1st shift, Residential Psychiatric Technician.

POSITION OVERVIEW

• Follow all matrix systems regarding internal policies on "call offs", emergencies and on call personnel.

• Assist in developing and implementing activities and other special projects designed to increase skills in independent and community living, socialization/leisure time and to build on strengths to promote positive growth for the consumer.

• Participate in therapeutic groups to enhance positive peer interaction, develop problem solving skills, discuss program events and motivate consumer to take responsibility for their choices.

• Engage consumers in appropriate life skills to develop abilities to live as independently as possible.

• Must possess a High School or GED with 2 years working with individuals with Developmental Disabilities.

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• Must possess a valid Driver's License and access to reliable transportation

• 6 months working in Behavioral Health is Preferred
