About the Job:

The Purchasing Assistant is responsible for analysis and payment upload of consolidated invoices, vendor maintenance and provide general back up of all GIP related functions.

• Analyze and prepare monthly summary invoices for payment.
  
• Provide support to Alfa Laval subsidiaries as needed.
  
• Participate in supplier meetings.
  
• Maintain vendor master data base, 1099, Alfa Laval Principles for Alfa Laval and its subsidiaries.
  
• Maintain QNova contract database.
  
• Manage the cell phone ordering, replacement and termination process.
  
• Assist in the general day to day activities related to.
  
• Address and reconcile any billing discrepancies related to summary invoices.
  
• Assist fleet driver with insurance claims
  
• Investigate and correct errors or inconsistencies in financial entries or reports
  
• Prepare monthly KPI's
  
• Provide ad hoc financial reports, analysis and projects as requested
  
• Support other team members in day-to-day processes
  
• Document and update standard operating procedures for all owned processes
  
• Identify potential process improvements.
  
• Assist with auditor requests.
  

What you know:

• Bachelor's degree or associates degree in business (preferred)
  
• Minimum of High School diploma and 3-5 years of purchasing or experience in lieu of education.

These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location. The overall salary range for this role is typically $47,000 to $53,000 base.
