The Quality Engineer will support laboratory operations, production product realization and planning, compliance to customer requirements, risk management, sub-contractor quality and purchasing quality. This individual will manage various procedures, report key business metrics, collect and present appropriate data, independently manage small projects, and participate in cross-functional teams. The individual is expected to work independently and with teams to complete assigned tasks and projects with minimal supervision required to achieve goals.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Train on all common laboratory tasks (tensile testing, chemical analysis, others)
  • Provide technical support to the laboratory
  • Prepare for and take part in quality system audits (AS9100, Nadcap, etc.)
  • Review and support plant compliance with applicable industry, government, and national standard quality systems and specifications
  • Help manage and improve the plant's quality system
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or science
  • Familiar with ISO9001 or AS9100 quality systems preferred
  • Ability and willingness to travel to Materion facilities, customers, sub-contractors, seminars, conferences and trade shows.
The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
