QUALITY INTERN

Location: Durham, NC

The qualified candidate will become part of Durham's Quality team. The selected candidate will work in a dynamic people-focused environment where you will work directly with experienced engineers to enhance your skills and develop higher confidence in your capabilities.

Our Quality Engineering team is deeply engrained in the business's functional areas and heavily partners with the leadership team on critical decisions. Team members are expected to have the skills to analyze data and communicate recommendations to leaders at all levels in the company.

Through the intern program, we are looking to find the next wave of talent to drive these efforts.

• Quality Engineering Interns will be responsible for providing on-time support to our internal or external customers on Quality improvement opportunities.

• Assist in the development of quality requirements, quality management systems, Supplier remediation programs and inspection techniques.

• Collaborates with other engineering disciplines to assure Customer's complaints are properly entered into the system and timely completion of the investigations.

• May support other areas such as VMRD, supply chain, Final testing, production quality, data analytics, or process quality and improvements.

• Must be able to analyze data, provide summary conclusions, and present to site leadership.

• Must be able to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

• Work cross-functionally with various teams to achieve quality standards.

• Other responsibilities may include project planning, technical and management data review, Quality Council meeting support, problem identification, corrective action planning and implementation.

Required Skills:

• Completed at least freshman year of college/university.

• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
