Job Summary

The Radiologic Technologist:

  • Performs radiographic procedures , producing images for the interpretation by, or at the Request of a licensed independent practitioner.
  • demonstrates an understanding of the human anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology. Radiographers must maintain a high degree of accuracy in radiographic positioning and exposure technique.
  • maintain knowledge of radiation protection and safety. Radiographers prepare, administer and document activities related to contrast media and medications in accordance with state and federal regulations or institutional policy.
  • remain sensitive to the physical , cultural and emotional needs of the patient through good communication, patient assessment, patient monitoring and patient care skills
Per Diem Work Schedule Requirement:
  • Work a minimum of 4 shifts per month (4, 6 or 8 hour shifts).
  • Take a minimum of 4 shifts of on-call per month.
  • Work a minimum of 2 holidays per year (Christmas, New Year's, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving).

Experience
  • Relevant Experience
Certification and Licensure
  • BLS Certification
  • RT (R) ARRT or Certification eligible technologists hired upon graduation pass examination prior to start date
