VCA Animal Specialty and Emergency Center (ASEC), in sunny West Los Angeles is seeking a second full time radiologist to help support and expand our imaging service.

A typical day includes reviewing radiographic images with the emergency/critical care staff during morning rounds, performing in-house and outpatient ultrasound and CT exams with guided aspirates and biopsies, and interpreting in-house as well as referral radiographs. Weekly Known Case Conference and Journal Club with our diagnostic imaging intern, rotating interns, externs, residents, and specialists and monthly didactic lectures will be duties shared with the current radiologist.

Our hospital is completely digital with WoofWare electronic medical records, which are integrated with GE Logiq P6 ultrasound and GE BrightSpeed 16 slice CT scanner. ASEC has two radiographic suites and numerous viewing workstations. We also have a digital Radiology and Fluoroscopy unit and digital C-arm fluoroscopy unit (Philips Pulsera). MRI and scintigraphy are available at nearby locations. We have boarded specialists in surgery, oncology, internal medicine, cardiology, and emergency/critical care. These doctors perform the highest caliber of medicine, including numerous interventional and minimally invasive procedures. A great camaraderie is present in this hospital and with the referring veterinary community.

The hospital is blocks from Westwood, home to UCLA, with easy drives to the ocean and regional mountains. The greater LA area offers a variety of outdoor activities and is world renowned for fantastic weather, entertainment, and dining.

Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The annual salary range for this position is $120,000 to $300,000. This position may also be eligible for other variable pay programs.
