The Radiologic Technician 1 performs radiation therapy and radiographic procedures involving the application of X-rays and radioactive substances to patients. The Radiologic Technician 1 performs basic administrative/clerical/operational/customer support/computational tasks. Typically works on routine and patterned assignments.

Responsibilities

The Radiologic Technician 1 operates specialized X-ray equipment as prescribed by the physician. Keeps treatment records and prepares operational reports as required. Maintains, stores and orders supplies and equipment. Decisions are limited to defined parameters around work expectations, quality standards, priorities and timing, and works under close supervision and/or within established policies/practices and guidelines with minimal opportunity for deviation. Must have Certification as an X-Ray Technician.

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and, as individual states require, accreditation through the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)
  • Certification as an X-Ray Technician with 1+ years' experience in a diagnostic facility or hospital as an X-Ray Technician
  • 1 - 3 years of Medical Assistant experience in 'back-office' direct patient care
  • This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana/Senior Bridge's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB. Must be a team player with excellent communication skills
  • Medical Assistant registration/certification (RMA/CMA) from an accredited program on the pre-approved institution list is required within one year of employment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a fast pace/high volume environment
  • Experience with MS Outlook
  • Basic Computer knowledge
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
