Description:
Involves technical work in the operation ofdiagnostic radiographs and fluoroscopic equipment equipment. The purpose is delivery of quality care commensurate with the age of the patient population for the designated area.
Mercy Fitzgerald, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for a Radiology Technologist to join our team!

PRN/Per Diem, based on department needs

The technologist is responsible for performing all radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures in the department, at the bedside and in the OR., including those utilizing oral and /or injected contrast agents. The technologist assists the radiologist and/or other licensed, privileged physicians during radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures. The technologist must show independent judgment when performing procedures and when addressing difficult or unusual situations. The technologist is responsible for evaluating images for technical quality.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Performs all radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures
  • Utilizes Hospital EMR and Radiology PACS system with accuracy
  • Assesses patients to determine ability to undergo ordered procedure
  • Provides guidance and mentoring to students
  • Accept additional assignments and tasks
  • Provide DX Radiology department coverage 24/7 including weekends and holidays
  • Supports the mission and values of Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital

Requirements:
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent
  • Successful graduate from an AMA approved Radiology program
  • Registered by ARRT or acquired within one year
  • AHA BLS
