Real Estate Project Accountant

We are nimble and relationship based, with particular expertise in the design and construction of multifamily residential communities, commercial and retail properties and land development. Based in Schaumburg, IL, we have been involved in projects throughout Chicagoland and across the Midwest.

Looking for a highly skilled Project Accountant to join our small, fast-paced office. The position includes, but are not limited to, the responsibilities and required skills outlined below.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit monthly loan draws

• Monitor and track project costs

• Contact vendors for lien waivers

• Financial reporting

• Coordination with CPA Firm during tax season

• Accounts receivable

• Accounts payable

• Bank reconciliations

• Participate in special projects on as needed basis

• Maintain files and records in an organized manner

Skills

• A minimum of B. S. degree in Accounting or Finance and at least 5 years of relevant experience in Construction or Real Estate industry

• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks software

• Strong demonstrated accounting and analytical experience

• Strong demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Demonstrated attention to detail

• Ability to work independently in a small fast paced office environment

• Ability to work established schedule and other hours as needed
