Mission

Under the direction of the VP/RVP provides financial and operational direction and guidance to Regional businesses with the objective of maximizing talent as well as profitability. Responsible for location management oversight within their Region and acting as a teacher and mentor to fuel overall management development. Is the "Director of Operations freer" and provides those in their Region the autonomy and ownership to make decisions for their individual businesses. Assesses quality in every facet of the business, pushing locations to achieve excellence on a daily basis. Acts as a storyteller for their Region, keeping the Levy culture alive and sharing best practices across their Region and throughout the entire Company. Primary relationship developer with client/partner team and integral in maintaining partner relationship.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

Client Relationships

  • Primary contact for most senior client representative and maintains a strong relationship with operations client/partner team
  • Strives to anticipate and fulfill clear client/partner needs to ensure long-term contract stability and business growth
  • Visits each location within Region 2-3 times during the calendar month varying visits between event and non-event days, one visit to include meeting with operations partner
  • Participates in and documents monthly meetings with operations client/partner on a non-event day with the goal to be informational, fact finding, idea generating and problem solving to determine how the onsite team is performing and level of client satisfaction monthly in person meetings
  • Holds weekly or biweekly check-in calls with client/partner
  • With input from Director of Operations and under VP/RVP direction, prepares and participates in formal annual client presentations reviewing year-end and look-forward for each business within Region
  • Successfully retains all accounts by fostering strong professional and personal relationships with clients through strategic and innovative operational improvements
  • Uses Company recognition framework to celebrate client achievements, performance and personal events




Leadership and Internal Relationship Building
  • Ensures open communication and understanding between Home Office disciplines and operations
  • Promotes and instills Levy philosophies and business standards throughout all levels of management within Region
  • Participates in the hiring and development of business leaders within Region to ensure operations live up to "The Levy Difference"
  • Ensures smooth new leader transitions within locations
  • Participates in team member open forums at locations twice per year
  • Conducts one on ones with Directors of Operations within Region once a week
  • Promotes a team building and cooperative work environment that maximizes productivity and morale within Region
  • Coaches and mentors and develops high potential senior business leaders within Region
  • Interview and buyoff on all Director level candidates for hire
  • Uses succession planning standards and development plans to build the bench in preparation for Regional staffing needs
  • Uses engagement strategies to recognize, motivate and celebrate individuals and teams delivering outstanding performance throughout Region
  • Uses all performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to team
  • Fosters an environment of inclusion and unity at all levels throughout Region


Financial
  • Partners with location business leaders to develop strategies that achieve maximum sales growth by building top line sales and controlling expenses
  • Ensures complete compliance with all aspects of financial controls within Region
  • Participates in the development of appropriate and accurate budgets to ensure all operations within Region meet Company and client expectations
  • Participates in pricing decisions that maximize profit and meet client expectations
  • Reviews operational unit forecasts to ensure accuracy of monthly projections and going out number for key statistics such as sales, PBITDAR and PBIT prior to VP/RVP signoff
  • In conjunction with Director of Operations, reviews financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement
  • Understands and trains location senior business leaders on all Levy financial control systems


Operations
  • Ensures implementation of innovative and creative ideas that drive incremental sales and organic growth
  • Ensures full compliance and execution of all Home Office initiatives, procedures and core signature standards
  • Oversees new Company initiatives to ensure proper introduction and execution
  • Ensures "show quality" aspects of all locations within Region by conducting quality inspections
  • Projects pro forma development with finance on client refreshes and capital spend business cases
  • Assists in communicating long-term strategic plan for Region
  • Develops and executes creative and innovative ideas to enhance all operations within Region
  • Participates in Requests for Proposals, financial due diligence, creative implementation and sales presentations for new business development and is new business primary ops contact
  • Contributes to Company direction and standards through active participation on Steering Committee
  • Works with VP/RVP and department heads to streamline communications, standardizations and minimize expenses across Region
  • Works with senior leadership on development, implementation and execution of overall Company MAP objectives
  • Establishes and maintains effective community relations and actively participate in professional and civic activities to promote organization
  • Implements programs to ensure attainment of business plan for growth and profit
  • Actively manages effective, financially responsible union relationships
  • Ensures that all managers and chefs within Region have the proper tools to deliver "The Levy Difference"
