12 Hour Night Shift
Trinity Health Of New England is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team of mission-driven healthcare innovators at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center. Our newly renovated 32 bed unit is a nationally recognized Center Of Excellence for Heart Failure. Primary patient diagnosis on this unit is acute or chronic CHF, while we also care for patients with other cardiac conditions such as AFIB, CAD, STEMI, pacemaker, ICD placements and soon LVADs.
We offer an individualized orientation program supporting both recently graduated and experienced nurses , ongoing professional development opportunities, and support for specialty certification attainment. We have 24/7 support and partnership with our inpatient CHF Medical Team and work closely with the outpatient team to ensure quality care along the health care continuum. In this role you will be part of a collaborative team, play an active part in unit shared decision making, and enjoy practice autonomy using nurse driven protocols.

You Will Be Responsible For
- 36 hours per week
- 7pm - 7am
- 12-hour NIGHT shift
- Weekend and holiday rotation
Exceptional Patient Care: Contributes to overall quality of nursing care through performance improvement techniques that impact patient care positively.
Excellent Communicator: Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with admin, colleagues, patients and family member.
Strong Educator: Educate patients and family members so that they have a transparent understanding of the care being provided.
Technical Familiarity: Understanding in computer-based applications (E-MAR, clinical documentation), email, and standard applications such as Microsoft Office.
Active Teamwork: Demonstrates problem solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication through teamwork.
Education: Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program. BSN graduate preferred.
Licensure: Current Licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in Connecticut.
Certification: BLS (AHA/ARC).

- Effective communication, organizational and critical thinking skills.
About Trinity Health Of New England:
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
Experience: Acute care, Medical-Surgical, Congestive Heart Failure experience preferred.
Certification: ACLS preferred.
