RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client is seeking to hire a Remote Senior Network Engineer-Cloud in Los Angeles, California (CA). The Senior Network Engineer is an advanced position within the Network Engineering team who is responsible for independently designing, planning, configuring, and supporting all aspects of company's complex data network and the delivery of network services in a 7x24 online support environment.Responsibilities include:- Manages the purchase, installation, and support of network communications, including LAN/WAN systems
- Remote SN Network Engineer is responsible for evaluating current systems
- Plans, designs, and implements large scale systems projects through vendor comparison and cost studies
- Provides work leadership and training to other Network Engineers
- Remote SN Network Engineer analyzes local and wide area network systems, including planning, designing, evaluation, selecting operation systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges, and other devices
- Resolves interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms including e-mail, files transfer, multimedia, teleconferencing and the like
- Supports acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience
- Certification: CCNP required, CCIE preferred
- 7+ years of related IT network engineering experience
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure or GCP
- Requires expert knowledge of complex LAN/WAN systems, networks, and applications
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
