*Job Location: * Pasadena, CA - open to Remote for strong candidates!
*Compensation: * $120K - $170K base salary Depending on Experience

What You Will Be Doing This role is responsible for design, implementation, and support volume ramp-up of advanced Si photonics devices. The successful candidate will design the state-of-the-art passive and active photonic devices as well as complex integrated photonic systems.

- Assist with design and development of passive integrated optical structures
- Work closely with layout engineers to implement designs
- Work with process team to define parameters that are critical to quality
- Define device characterization plans and execute in collaboration with test engineers
- Analyze large data sets to extract device trends and provide feedback for next runs
- Track schedules of various lots through the fab and provide updates to design team
- Develop into design expert on passive photonic structures including couplers, WDM filters, MMIs
- Assist with setting up demos as required by management
What You Need for this Position MS or PhD in Optics, Electrical Engineering, or similar with 2-5 years experience of the following:

- Photonics device design (passive and active photonic devices)
- Silicon Photonics
- Integrated Photonic Systems
- Photonics Testing
- Simulation
- System-level Design, testing, & fabrication
- Process Integration and support
