Summary:

The District Inventory Representative is responsible for the integrity of our inventory as well the responsibilities and procedure outlined within this document

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

3PL Returns

  • Participate in auditing the 3PL returns process daily at point of physical pieces being offloaded.
  • Visually insure integrity of pieces as described in delivery exception notes
  • Review corresponding delivery records and reconcile with physical return pieces
  • Utilize all tools available such as 3PL delivery manifests, Arhaus customer service notes in POS system, and any pics from POS to determine whether the exception reasons are accurately recorded
  • Disposition all inventory exceptions in coordination with 3PL management
  • This includes a daily review of any exception created at prep/deluxe, as well as delivery exceptions
  • This also includes a weekly review of exception storage locations at the 3rd party remote location

  • Order Completion
  • Perform invoicing functions daily for prior day deliveries utilizing the following:
  • Arhaus reporting
  • 3PL delivery reports/portal
  • Arhaus POS software
  • Physical accounting of exceptions
  • Process Transfer Request Log
  • Conduct open order report reviews monthly to insure there is an accounting of any order open outside of current delivery month
  • Manage Unassigned Inventory created from Cancelled Orders in order to decrease returns volume/costs. Utilize data to analyze and make suggestions.
  • If located at a hub where we transfer cancellations to sellable out of the location, Hub Inventory Auditor will perform necessary functions


  • Create manifests for returns trailers moving from 3PL back to Arhaus
  • This may include processing in Arhaus POS software or manually creating entries to account for returns pieces prior to physical loading of a returns trailer and the supervision of the actual loading of the returns trailer with checkoffs.

  • Conduct exception audits routinely covering both physical and system locations
  • Weekly resolve any sync issues that may exist between the 3PL delivery/warehousing software, Arhaus POS software, and physical pieces showing in both systems
  • Randomly audit Store Transfer processing on site and at stores

  • Conduct Bi-annual Physical counts

    Ensures all company policies and inventory standard operating procedures are followed.

    Education, Experience and Other Qualifications:
    • Education: High school diploma; College degree preferred
    • Years of experience: 2 years - Inventory related Warehouse/Home Delivery experience
    • Valid Driver’s license preferred
    • Computer proficiency: Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and experience in WMS and Delivery software
    • Understanding of general work practices in warehousing and distribution, including order processing, picking, shipping. Also, home delivery processes and procedures.
    • Dedicated to business and allow flexibility with work hours if necessary

    Essential Functions of the Position:
    • Performing tasks using a computer and telephone daily
    • Repetitive processing steps.
    • Maintain confidentiality of customer’s information.
    • Always willing to adapt to change and keep an open mind to training
    • Consistent regular scheduled attendance is considered an essential function of this job.
    FLSA Status:
