Summary:
Performs access functions for all patients presenting for services.

Detailed responsibilities:
• Ensures that all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered with timeliness and accuracy.
• Communicates with physician's and their staff, nursing unit staff, and/or other appropriate personnel to exchange necessary information.
• Verifies insurance benefits and obtains pre-certification/authorization as necessary.
• Determines and accepts required payments, including but not limited to co-pays and deductibles.

The Urgent Care Center East, located at 1740 Sheridan Street in Hollywood, provides safe, quality care for adults and children age 5 and older in a caring and efficient manner. Our skilled team of physicians and healthcare professionals treat minor injuries and illnesses such as:

• Fever and flu
• Ear and eye infections
• Sprains, dislocations and simple fractures
• Cuts and minor burns
• Urinary tract infections
• Upset stomach

The center also offers the following services:

• EKG
• X-ray-Digital
• Lab-Simple point of care testing
• Therapeutic Procedures-incision and drainage, breathing treatment, foreign body removal, splinting
