OVERVIEW
The Resort Manager in Training will have the opportunity to take their career to the next level by working directly with an experienced resort team in a variety of property operations. This individual will be responsible for assisting the RV Resort Managers with all aspects of day-to-day operations while learning the fundamental business practices that drive Sun RV Resorts. In addition, they will spend time collaborating with multiple main office teams to better understand the support provided to the field.

JOB DUTIES

  • Works closely with various departments within the Sun RV Resorts brands including Marketing, Human Resources and Accounting to understand company processes and drivers of business decisions.
  • Ensures guests and residents receive a high level of service consistent with Suns customer service philosophy.
  • Assists RV Resort Managers with monitoring monthly operating budgets and preparing monthly explanation of P&L variances.
  • Handles and resolves resident and guest complaints, inquiries and issues in a timely and professional manner, communicating through a variety of means.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state and local agencies that regulate fair housing laws and resort operations.
  • Assists RV Resort Managers with coordinating team member selection, training and development of resort staff and ensuring all team members comply with appropriate policies and operational procedures.
  • Serves as a point of contact for all customers, residents and guests.
  • Works with the Marketing team to increase reservations and occupancy and further promote the Sun RV Resorts brand.
  • Assists with preparation of annual operating budgets.
  • Collaborates with RV Resort Managers in overseeing capital expenditure improvements.
  • Works with RV Resort Managers to quickly and effectively address issues which would adversely affect operations or guest satisfaction.
  • Enforces resort rules and regulations.
  • Markets park models, pre-owned and brokered homes for sale, as well as prepares documents to list and sell homes.
  • Other duties as assigned


REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree in progress (Required)
  • 6 months experience in hospitality
  • 6 months experience in handling and appropriately reporting profit & loss variances
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Advanced computer proficiency
