Objective:

Working at the direction of the National Operations Director within the Financial Services (FS) Practice Management Office (PMO), the primary responsibility of the Resource Manager - Tax is to serve as the Resource Management process owner for the tax practice.

Essential Functions and Primary Responsibilities:

• Takes a lead role in defining, promoting, and communicating best practices in tax scheduling across the FS offices
• Works with scheduling resources to promote the consistent use of the national scheduling system to enable tax scheduling best practices
• Establishes key measures of success for tax scheduling and monitors and communicates performance against key measures
• Develops and fosters relationships with office leadership, tax practice leadership, all office scheduling resources and staff.
• Successfully on boards, provides training on scheduling software and best practices to all newly acquired offices and/also current office schedulers
• Facilitates the coordination of resource needs across offices to promote sharing of resources
• Establish, socialize and distribute resource management performance 'scorecard' reports for National FS and Office Leadership Teams, including but not limited to: utilization, leverage of resources, capacity, forecasting, resource sharing and any other key operational metrics
• Generates ad-hoc reporting for local and national leadership as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary
• Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills
• Self-starter, comfortable navigating ambiguity, as well as dealing with and promoting change
• Working knowledge of the public accounting industry or a professional services firm is desirable
• Demonstrated project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and dynamic environment
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in the tax practice of a public accounting firm is desirable

Qualifications Required:

• A Bachelor's degree in accounting or business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience is required.
• 6 years of relevant experience
• Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization
• Proficient use of applicable technology
• Must be able to travel based on business needs
