Dal-Tile is currently seeking an exceptional Resource Planner to join our TEAM! The Resource Planner will respond to complex issues from various company departments, analyze customer demand & sales forecast, and evaluate and update data within the various planning systems.

Primary Objective

Manufactured Product Resource Planners determine which products to produce for daily/weekly schedules at manufacturing plants. Manage and coordinate this planning through review of forecast changes in actual demand and projected sales as well as impact of supply issues on inventory levels. Identifies and acts on critical areas by using various tools such as sales history reports and inventory comparisons.

Sourced Product Resource Planners work with suppliers (both domestic and international), RDCs and Sales to determine inventory levels in our distribution network. Responsible for accurate forecasting internally as well as external production scheduling to support inventory turns and minimize product availability issues.

Sales Service Center (SSC) Resource Planners work directly with stores within specific sales region to identify top-selling profile items and set inventory levels to maintain support for the store and Dal-Tile's inventory objectives.

Major Function and Scope

Resource Planner:

Addresses complex issues from suppliers, manufacturing plants, distribution centers, transportation, customer service, sales and marketing.

Analyzes customer demand, sales forecast, lead times, and safety stock data to determine weekly production schedules for each plant, weekly purchases for each supplier, and/or stocking profiles by item and location

Coordinates product transfer decisions between factories or between manufactured and sourced products.

Uses extensive knowledge of data, systems, and system interfaces to resolve complex problems or suggest supply chain solutions. Evaluates and updates the planning parameters and related data within the planning applications.

Serves as Supply Chain Planning representative at cross-functional meetings. (Home Centers Distribution, Transportation, Information Technology, and Fitness Team meetings)

Assists in the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process as well as annual capacity planning and budgeting process.

Provides guidance and training of team members.

Performs other related duties as required.

Experience and Knowledge Required

Bachelor's degree required. Preferably in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Logistics, Business, Economics, Mathematics or related field.

Certified in Production Inventory Management (CPIM) designation preferred.

2 or more years of previous material planning supply chain management experience preferred.

Competencies

Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.

Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities.

Strong organizational skills.

Strong customer service and communication skills (written and verbal).

Proficiency in MS Excel and Access.
