Job Summary

Work directly with clients to monitor and manage revenue accounts. Ensure that payments are received in a prompt and timely manner. Develop and maintain relations with external clients.

What you will be responsible for

  • Records transactions into the general ledger or other systems; ensures transactions are recorded, documented, reviewed and supported in accordance with company policies in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for the Plant allocations, pipeline allocation; system balances; economics; imbalances; AR aging; and account reconciliations.
  • Reviews and analyzes the set-up of various contracts (i.e. POP, processing, keepwhole, treating, etc..).
  • Must demonstrate initiative and ability to prioritize workload.
  • Develops and maintains good rapport with producers, other third parties, marketers, gas control personnel, contract admin, and measurement.
  • Level of position is dependent on qualifications, skills and experience of incumbent.

Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
  • 0-3 years accounting experience at professional level
  • Good computer skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word applications
  • Aptitude to effectively learn company specific accounting and operations systems
  • Good interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
  • Basic understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Flexibility to work overtime during peak periods
Desired Qualifications:
  • 1-4 years of Gas Revenue Plant accounting experience preferred. (The DCP definition of Gas Revenue Plant Accounting includes imbalance reconciliation experience and proficiency in plant allocation systems)
  • Basic understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Basic analytical skills.
  • Customer service oriented and strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with TIPS, PeopleSoft financials and GMS Ultra applications
Special Demands

This job primarily operates in a professional office environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc. Noise level is typically low. Frequently in a stationary, sitting position for prolonged periods of time. Regularly moves about inside the office to complete tasks, attend meetings or to access the copy machine or file cabinets. Periodically pulls/pushes doors open to move around the office. Occasionally may lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds. Occasional travel may be required.

Salary Range

The salary range for this job is \$50,800 - \$81,200
