RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Reston, VA that is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant.Key Tasks:

• Senior Revenue Accountant will be responsible for reviewing contracts
• Managing the project accounting
• Assisting in ensuring controls are properly documented, identifying and implementing improvements
• As a Senior Revenue Accountant, you will be changing the contracts and recommending appropriate actions or procedures
• Performing monthly financial and ad hoc analyses to monitor the contracts performance
• Senior Revenue Accountants support the quarterly reviews and annual audit
• Assisting with month end financial close assignments

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree, with emphasis in accounting
• CPA certification preferred
• Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience
• Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in all applications of the Microsoft Office suite; Advanced skills with the use of Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of revenue recognition, preferably ASC 605 and ASC 606, or aptitude to read accounting guidance and learn
• Strong functional knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS and other regulatory requirements, with SEC experience preferred
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Detail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines
