What's the role?

The Team:

This role is part of the global Finance team. Our team consists of subject matter experts in corporate, business finance, accounting, and taxation. Within the accounting organization, we ensure the accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions of the company. The team also is responsible for compliance with regulatory and statutory financial reporting. We are a diverse team spread across the world supporting 69 legal entities across 54 countries. The Role:

As the Revenue Manager your responsibilities will consist mainly of the following:

• Manage the revenue accounting process for the NA team, including a team spread out across the US, Mexico, and EU.
• Research, evaluate, and prepare technical revenue accounting memos, revenue accounting checklists, and revenue impact analyses and assessments on non-standard transactions, product offerings/programs, and audit-related work papers
• Perform monthly deal review on significant revenue arrangements to ensure accurate revenue recognition treatment in accordance with IFRS15, identifying revenue impacting terms including material right assessment, contract modification assessment, stand-alone selling price assessment, etc.
• Monitor month-end revenue close and performs close tasks such as major customer review, journal entries around special non-standard contract terms, perform flux analyses for major customers, and related reporting and disclosures
• Assist with internal and external audit requests; contribute to an internal control-compliant environment
• Partner with sales, legal, business operations, and broader management team on non-standard contract review and special terms on the sales order form to determine revenue impact and provide solutions to optimize the revenue recognition accounting process and comply with HERE's revenue recognition policy
• Lead and assist with other special projects, including process improvement initiatives, new product initiatives assessment, system implementation, and other ad hoc requests

Who are you?

You will be successful in this role if you have most of the following:

• 5+ years of experience in revenue accounting of increasing responsibility, preferably a mix of both public accounting and corporate accounting roles within a publicly traded company
• Strong understanding of IFRS 15 or ASC 606 and application thereof
• Strong IFRS/GAAP and accounting process knowledge and experience understanding and synthesizing technical accounting standards
• Experience in similar business industries (e.g. SaaS, professional services, resellers)
• Experience in meeting short deadlines and driving projects to completion with minimal supervision
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skill (e.g. VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot tables, CONCATENATE, LEFT/RIGHT/MID, Text to Columns, etc.) and strong account reconciliation skills
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar field
