RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client seeking an RF Sustaining Engineer in Chandler, AZ.Responsibilities:
  • Work with interdisciplinary teams to ensure that the designs meet the customers electrical, environmental as well as internal manufacturing requirements and standards
  • Understand the detailed analysis and design of RF (from VHF through millimeter-wave) and mixed-signal communications hardware components (front ends, IF sections, phase-lock loops, AGC loops, synthesizers)
  • Reviews Quality Control directive (QCD) test data to approve or reject alternate components to be used on a qualified product
  • Material Review Board Approves or rejects Non-compliant material from vendors
  • Approves or rejects non-compliant material found during production
  • Approves or rejects Engineering Notices of proposed changes originating from production of a change to an assembly documentation package
  • Create change notices to implement the approved QCD into the production
  • Support end of life status on components to find alternates or design changes
  • Support photo documentation of defects
  • Investigate, evaluate new emerging technologies for integration into products
  • Work closely with the Supply Chain teams to support component availability and alternates of suitable components
  • Work closely with Planning to implement QCD's into a production kit to gather test data


REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering, MSEE degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in RF microwave / millimeter-wave design
  • Develop screening and qualification plan for alternate components to meet customer spec's and performance requirements
  • Review test data to assure it meets customer spec's
  • Read and interpret technical documents including schematics, datasheets, and test procedures
  • Use AutoCAD software for drafting
  • Working knowledge of component, reliability, MIL Specs and MIL Standards
  • Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, documentation, organization and time management skills
  • Good understanding of wafer lot qualification, transistor dies, tin whisker growth mitigation process
  • Strong understanding of Configuration Management and documentation
