RESPONSIBILITIES:
One of Kforce's Fortune 500 clients in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an RPG Developer to join their team full-time. If you're looking for an opportunity to work with an elite team of fellow RPG Software Engineers and your toolkit encompasses proficiency with Java, XPath, XSLT, SOAP, REST, SQL, and Linux, this is for you!What you will be doing:- RPG Developer will code programs using all forms of RPGLE including free form and embedded SQL RPGLE, CLLE, DDL and DDS
- Designing, programming, debugging, and modifying software enhancements
- Interacting with Product Owners, BSAs and QA to define requirements and modifications
- As an RPG Developer, you will participate in software design meetings to determine technical requirements
- Maintain a 24/7 state of operational readiness
REQUIREMENTS:
- A Bachelor's in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other related discipline or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience with RPG (RPGLE) IBM development
- Experience with end-to-end systems development life cycles and standards
- Knowledge of banking/financial industry practices, regulations, and operations
- Knowledge of common source control for RPG and Java build tools; Azure DevOps, Maven and GIT preferred
- Fluency in sequence diagrams, class models, etc.
- Proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition disciplines
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
