Position Summary

The purpose of this role is to manage the operation by coaching and leading Retail Service Ops Reverse Logistics Center (RLC) associates, lead safety, and provide excellent customer service.

Accountabilities:

Provide Safety Leadership across all shifts

  • Understand and advance Plan To Zero (PTZ) in the facility.
  • Model and promote Rehrig Pacific•s Safety Culture.
  • Ensure there is Safety accountability within the location.
  • Work cross functionally with the Safety Team to ensure safety goals and programs are progressing.
  • Hit PTZ and injury rate goals set for the RLC network.
  • Understand, document, and share best Safety practices.
  • Ensure compliance with monthly requirements (BBSOs, Safety Topic) and monthly report completion.

Provide a level of service that meets all customer expectations
  • Understand and provide accountability for Quality programs,
  • Work with the Quality Manager and Regional Manager to implement corrective actions on any service failures for the facility,
  • Meet or exceed quality goals set forth for RLC Operations by following customer specifications and using visual controls for team accountability,
  • Understand, document, and share best Quality practices,

Drive efficiency and cost reduction within the facility
  • Support efficiency metrics and continuously improve them,
  • Coach Supervisors on managing labor expenditures to production volumes,
  • Work with cross functional partners and Regional Manager to progress Rehrig Management System (RMS) at the facility,
  • Lead daily VC controls and shift meetings,
  • Manage and monitor JDE system to ensure accurate reporting and billing,

People Development and Engagement
  • Ensure that the team is appropriately staffed and skilled to meet organizational goals, including the proper use of temporary labor. Plan for recruitment, succession, and talent development.
  • Onboard and train associates, utilizing Human Capital programs that improve recruitment and retention within the operation. Follow standards for employee onboarding and maximize the first minute experience.
  • Coach, mentor and lead team members in accordance of our Core Values and Strategic Vision
  • Be a positive contributor to the already great culture at Rehrig Pacific. Be a champion for our Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging, advancing the cause of every family member feeling like they belong
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment. Encourage open communication, collaboration, and teamwork.
  • Leverage the Learning & Development resources to further the development and growth of team members. Identify the training needs of team members and provide opportunities for skill development. Implement training programs to enhance the capabilities of the team.
  • Develop a continuous process for recognition that drives company values, motivates, and retains associates.
  • Complete quarterly key accountability reviews for all associates, detailed annual Performance Effectiveness Appraisals (PEAs), and continuous value-added feedback.

Communication and Relationship Building
  • Monitor production performance indicators and take appropriate action to identify root cause of variances, engaging technical teams or management as necessary for resolution.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders. Clearly convey expectations, goals, and organizational updates. Foster a culture of open and transparent communication.
  • Ensure end-of-shift reports are sent out daily.
  • Perform shift handoff meetings with next shift•s leadership team.
  • Address conflicts and issues within the team promptly and constructively. Mediate disputes, facilitate discussions, and promote a positive working environment.
  • Build strong relationships with team members to understand their needs, concerns, and aspirations. Cultivate a sense of trust and mutual respect.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years supervisory experience or education equivalence.
  • Experience with JDE system a plus.
  • The ability to interact with and train a diverse group of personnel.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to work cross functionally.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Rehrig Pacific, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80,000-$90,000/ year.
