Our Hydro Flask Team is based in breathtaking Bend, Oregon. There is a desert to the East of town and mountains to the West. Our geography says a lot about who we are. We bike, ski, swim, do yoga, run, hike, and play outside. We grill and share kombucha and growlers in our backyards. We go for it wholeheartedly. That may sound like the weekend, but that is how we live every day of the year. We also offer a casual and dog-friendly environment.

What you'll be doing:

This multifaceted role is responsible for leading and growing the Hydro Flask brand profitably in the Natural Food and Housewares channels of distribution. This individual will have the chance to lead the Outside Sales rep groups in 9 different regions of the US totaling 120 plus sales reps and will be the primary point of contact for these reps and customers within these channels. In addition, this role will work cross-functionally internally with multiple departments including Marketing, Product Development, Operations, and Finance.

  • Focus on the key channel distribution to drive sales at current customers (Whole Foods, Natural Grocers, HEB, etc.)
  • Build a strategic plan with DOS to present and open new customers in the channel if the decision is made to expand in this channel of distribution (ex. Fresh Market, Earth Fare, new WFM regions, etc.)
  • Develop a keen understanding of the Natural Food channel landscape related to competitors, products, pricing, position within channel, new trends, market make-up, etc.
  • Create annual sales targets for all-natural food regions
  • Collaborate with the sales analysis team and work with them to develop a monthly reporting review for all accounts (Focus would be on top 25 natural food accounts as a starting point)
  • Participate in channel strategy planning and reporting
  • Develop and implement an annual promotional calendar. Build tracking system and summary report to resolve fill-rate
  • Build a strategic plan for Housewares focused on Nordstrom and other dept. stores
  • Drive an e-commerce strategy for each Key Natural Foods account, ie; Whole Foods, Wegmans, HEB, etc.
  • Weekly communication with demand planning to ensure accurate product flow and forecasting
  • Act as the key liaison with outside sales agencies and implement priority goals s to drive sales in the channel
  • Provide sales reps with new product information twice a year, sales reporting tools, sales training to help them optimally lead sales in respective territories
  • Collaborate and understand retailer analytics to developing a monthly recap structure for all accounts for internal and external review
  • Conduct monthly calls with outside rep teams to review business in their territory (Presence and Scarlet Agencies)
  • Plan (4) market tours with sales reps. Attend natural food trade shows, develop show specials, track sales results from show specials
  • Filter new account requests then confirm with Sales Director
  • Identify key retail doors to drive/hi-lite new product opportunities
  • Track sales, product sell thru and develop channel forecasts
  • Understand key analytics and business accurate language to assess opportunities and evaluate successful seasons
  • Work with the sales team and other departments to find opportunities to improve our performance as a team (ex. investigating and implementing new CRM tool, order entry for reps, EDI implementation for large key accounts, updated sales catalogs or price sheets
  • Work on Oracle implementation team as a sales team representative
  • Participate in other special projects or company initiatives as assigned
  • Define seasonal GTM plans to support all product offerings
  • Focus on overall company profitability while attaining growth targets


Skills needed to be successful in this role:

  • Build and deliver effective sales presentations
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask, and active listening skills
  • Outstanding communication, project management skills, and strong skills in working with customers and business partners
  • Demonstrate good decision making with the ability to work with a high level of autonomy
  • Effectively engage with all partners on matters of account sales strategy and execution


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 + years in sales positions of growing responsibility/scale
  • 3 + years' experience supporting top accounts for a consumer product company
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software
  • Proficiency with ERP/CRM programs including report generation and data analysis
  • Experience developing and handling agency and distributor relationships
  • Experience growing revenue through proactive and strategic selling
  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in food and beverage or outdoor industry
